 Chef Thomas Giresi


Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Chef Thomas Giresi was born into the culinary industry. Following in his father’s footsteps, Thomas was raised into the family business, working at The Cotillion, one of New Jersey’s largest banquet facilities. At the young age of 22, he was promoted to Executive Chef. For 27 years Chef Thomas operated the business before him and his brother made the decision to sell it and move to Arizona. Before he made the transition into the senior living industry, Chef Thomas and his wife brought their families’ secret Italian recipes to Scottsdale where they opened Il Poggio D’Italia, a delicious Italian restaurant. Thomas has worked for several senior living communities including Brookdale Senior Living, Spectrum Retirement, and now, The Gardens of Sun City. He loves the industry so much he became a certified caregiver and is in the process of getting his Assisted Living Manager’s License.
